Jurnal Kesehatan Nasional Publik (KNKP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access national journal dedicated to the advancement, dissemination, and critical analysis of public health research, health policy, epidemiology, and healthcare administration. Designed as a strategic academic forum for public health researchers, epidemiologists, health administrators, and policymakers, KNKP focuses on population health challenges, health promotion strategies, and health systems resilience. The journal emphasizes empirical studies, policy evaluations, and evidence-based interventions aimed at reducing health disparities and elevating national health outcomes.

Scope and Topics

KNKP invites original empirical research, systematic reviews, health economics analyses, and public policy reviews. Key thematic areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

  • Epidemiology & Disease Prevention: Surveillance of communicable and non-communicable diseases, outbreak investigations, vector control, and preventive vaccination strategies.

  • Health Policy, Administration & Economics: Universal health coverage implementation, national health insurance schemes, healthcare financing, policy evaluation, and health service management.

  • Environmental & Occupational Health: Environmental sanitation, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, toxicology, and climate change impacts on public health.

  • Community Health, Nutrition & Behavior: Maternal and child health, stunting prevention, nutritional epidemiology, health communication, and community-based health behavior interventions.

  • Digital Health & Health Information Systems: Public health informatics, electronic health reporting, spatial epidemiology (GIS in public health), and data-driven health monitoring systems.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Kesehatan Nasional Publik (KNKP) is published triannually (3 issues per year: April, August, and December), utilizing an online-first publication pipeline to facilitate rapid peer review and immediate digital accessibility.

Peer Review Process

KNKP enforces a strict double-anonymous peer review protocol to guarantee academic integrity, scientific validity, and editorial impartiality. Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial desk review by the Editorial Board to assess topical alignment, structural organization, ethical compliance (including human subject protection standards), and similarity index checks. Qualified manuscripts are subsequently evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. Review criteria emphasize epidemiological rigor, statistical validity, methodological clarity, and practical contribution to public health policy and practice.

Mission Statement

The mission of Jurnal Kesehatan Nasional Publik is to advance national public health knowledge by publishing high-impact, evidence-based research, strengthening health system governance, and providing actionable insights that inform public health policy and improve community well-being.
